The Rockets won their season opener behind a strong game from pitcher Holly Shan. Shan struck out 8 over 5 innings to notch the win. Jisue Gonzales led the offensive attack going 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs. Erin Frey knocked in a run with a double in her first high school at bat. Caroline Nesbit had a two run single in the first to give the Rockets a lead they would never relinquish.
